DATING TO THE CIVIL WAR ERA
SEWN BY BOTH MACHINE AND HAND
FASHIONED OF WHITE LINEN WITH A BAND COLLAR TOP AND BUTTONS CLOSED WITH MILK GLASS BUTTONS IN THE REAR
THE SLEEVES ARE SET OFF THE SHOULDER WITH CARTRIDGE PLEAT GATHERS ALL ATOP THE SHOULDER AND A FULL SLEEVE THAT IS DRAWN IN AT THE END WITH A BAND CUFF THAT CLOSES WITH MILK GLASS BUTTONS
THE TOP HALF OF THE SHIRT IS FULLY REINFORCED AND THE FRONT BIB IS PLEATED ON EITHER SIDE WITH STITCHED HOLES FOR ADDING BUTTON LINKS
EACH SIDE IS SLIT WITH REINFORCED STITCHING AT THE TOP
CONDITION
:  THIS PIECE WAS FRESHLY HAND LAUNDERED AND IS IN CLEAN CONDITION.  EACH CUFF HAS FRAY ALONG THE EDGE FROM WEAR OF USE WITH SIMILAR WEAR TO THE REAR COLLAR AS PICTURED WITH A SMALL TEAR AT THE COLLAR EDGE JUST ABOVE THE BUTTON.
