The song is considered to be a comedy fox trot. It was used in the animated short film “Kitty from Kansas City” in 1931, featuring Betty Boop and a live action sequence with Rudy Vallée singing the song.
Little White Lies was written in 1930 by Walter Donaldson. It was first recorded by Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians with vocals by Clare Hanlon and The Waring Girls, although many artist covered the song that year and later.
