Description: Vintage Goodyear Tires Pit Board Sign from 1968-1970 USAC races. One side is chalkboard  to communicate with drivers. See Photos for Condition, very well used.
This pit board was used at the USAC (United States Auto Club) years ago. They raced 4 different divisions. The premier track was the Mile at Milwaukee where they raced late model vehicles, 4 times a year. Chrysler was heavily involved with Ford assisting the Bowsher team with A J Foyt as their driver. Before there were radios in cars, the pit board was used to signal the driver to pit, what position he was in, or how many laps to go in the race. Many sponsors were involved with the races. During one race season Goodyear provided the teams with the new boards. This pit board was given to our customer, circa mid 70s.
