Schumann Upright Piano -- with Original Piano BenchIn good playable condition
An antique upright piano that needs a loving home. It was my mother in-law's and she is no longer able to play. It now needs a good home where it will get played. Piano bench with storage space included.
Based on the certificate found on the back, we believe this piano is a limited edition made in 1913 to celebrate the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition that took place in Seattle, Washington in 1909.
This is also a pneumatic player piano, though the "player" part needs to be repaired. It was once modified to include an orchestrion. Since the orchestrion was removed, the pneumatics now leak and the player part of the piano stopped working. However, it is tuned and works great as a regular piano. And, it would be the perfect toy for a tinkerer who wants to make the player-piano part work.
Comes with Six Player Piano Rolls
By the Light of the Silvery Moon
Never on Sunday
By the Beautiful Sea
Strangers in the Night
Bumble Boogie
Kitten on the Keys
As you can see from the closeup of the keyboard (see right-most key), some of the ivory veneer has slipped off. The piano comes with the missing veneer, which could likely be glued back on. This is merely cosmetic, of course, as it does not affect the piano's playability.
The piano dimension are W64" x H57" x D28"
