Description
Welcome!I'm offering for your consideration a rare and exceptional example of a Kewa necklace made by an unknown artist in Santo Domingo Pueblo. There are carved shells in the form of birds, and also some beautiful turquoise strung with the heishi. This is a really beautiful necklace, tied with string. It fits over the head so I do not untie it but it can be tied to a longer length if you wanted. It's currently 28" end to end but could go three or four inches longer. The colors are vibrant. The turquoise is a stunning color and all the shells wonderful. This is a double strand necklace. Condition is excellent vintage and collectible and I find no problems. All hand made and carved. I love this. These hand made pieces have great value and are always in style. This one can mix with other necklaces. I wear it with others as well as with clusters of pins but it stands alone as a work of art.
