I use #4 short and long shank for these spinners, depends on bait used - long shank hooks work great with plastic spinner tails and scented minnows, the short shank hooks work well for live bait.
This great little hand held wire forming tool used to make many different kinds of spinning fishing lures . Comes with 1 sheet instructions for creating the different loops used in making inline spinners, jig spinners and other wire forms for your tackle needs.
This tool is rated for use with wire size up to 0.024". Using larger size wire may damage this tool
Each tool is individually tested for functionally  - test wire form included
I use one of these for making smaller size spinners and other fishing wire forms  - it works great!
Also is a great addition to your tackle box to make or repair / re make spinners and other forms
