2105-10-11 **MEN'S SHIRT with pleated bib
late 19th century in Linen
Men's shirt from the end of the 19th century with pleated bib in large white linen canvas.
The plastron is pleated with 7 flat pleats on either side of the button placket.
The plastron is closed with two buttons on the chest and two buttons on the collar (photos 3 and 5).
The cuffs also close with a mother-of-pearl button (photo 4).
The collar is narrow and measures only 3.5 cm wide (photo 5). A pleated under the bottom of the plastron (photo 2) and a small pleated under the yoke of the back (photo 9) ensure the ease of the garment.
As usual, the shirt is very long and the rear panel is a little longer than the front panel. Two slits separate them at the bottom. A small reinforcement triangle is added at the top of the slit to prevent tearing. A discreet "LT" monogram is embroidered near the right slit.
