    Description

    Welcome!
I'm offering for your consideration a stunning bracelet, Navajo, which was made in the Fred Harvey era but which has unusual characteristics. There are a few repousse´ stamped beautiful raindrops, and it has deep and delicate hand stamping that is of top quality and very lovely but it does not have the typical pictorial stamps, like the thunderbird, rolling logs and arrow stamps which you expect to see in jewelry of that time period, so this one is a special piece. A wonderful bug landed on it which has a head made of a nice round piece of turquoise, possibly Sleeping Beauty turquoise, based on the color and clean look. Striking and charming indeed. Ihave a bug pin which I wll include as a bonus. It's a great match and wonderful to wear with the bracelet. The pin is 20/16'" long and it's in great shape with a lovely piece of turquoise that looks like Sleeping Beauty.
Bugs were used in jewelry of all cultures, way back to ancient Egypt with their cockroaches, and the Victorian era, with so much bug jewelry and it's not unusual to find a bug pin available from Navajo silversmiths. But it is unusual to find one landing on a bracelet and this one is just swell.
The internal length of the silver alone is 5-1/4" and the gap is an additional almost 1-3/8" but the bracelet is flexible and the gap could be closed or opened, very slowly and carefully of course, preferably by a jeweler. Width is about 31/32" at the center, just under 1 inch and the sides and terminals drop to about 3/8". Weight is 19.7grams. Bracelet is signed "sterling" but not by the artist, which is common for that period. This bracelet is in excellent vintage and collectible condition.
Very comfortable and not too heavy, it's flexible so it will conform to your wrist. This is a great collector's item and conversation piece. It's also beautiful, a very rare, possibly unique example, and highly collectible. Enjoy!
