  • Condition: NOLA is in GOOD vintage condition. Nola was a popular name back in the 1930's, in fact, my mother-in-law was named Nola! The Tab is in great shape and the roll away from the tab is clean and PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY! The box shows its age, but hasn't been reinforced with tape. Written by the composer as an engagement gift to his fiancée (and later wife), Nola Locke. Copyrighted in late 1915, it was first published and recorded early in 1916. Lyrics were later added to a simplified version of the piece by James F. Burns. Recorded and made popular by The Revelers in 1927. Sample Lyrics: I realize within your eyes for me there lies a paradise. What other bliss is like a kiss from pretty lips I idolize. You are so sweet and you are so neat, A girl like you I'd never meet. Just to behold you is a treat that's hard to beat!
