He is wearing the renowned "ARAN" wool Hat & Scarf associated with the Gaelic speaking West of Ireland Communities. The history of the "ARAN" wool dates back many centuries. Knitted with unbleached sheep wool, it retains the natural oils and fibres which offers the wearer protection against the extreme Atlantic weather. Each Hat & Scarf is hand knitted and comes in many different patterns, the most famous of these patterns is the "Fishermans Rib"."
