Quality aftermarket BMW Starter Relay / Repeat Start Prevention Relay
Commonly referred to as the "
cricket
" relay.
Replaces original old electromechanical, SR9572 while still retaining the re-start lock-out feature while the engine is running to prevent starter drive gear damage.
Used as starter relay on BMW R Airheads.
Please verify the SR9572 markings on your relay.
If your relay has SR9570, you will need REL-775 or REL-775EDL
which looks identical but has different connection terminals and function. They are NOT interchangeable.
When replacing the relay, take care to reconnect in the same manner as the original relay was installed. The terminal wire coloring listed below may not apply to your application and is provided as a guide only.
Terminal Wire Coloring;
A Green/black - Rear Break Switch / Neutral switch
B Blue - Charge Light
C Blue - D+ at Diode Board
D Red - 12ga. Red lugs inside headlight & key switch
E Red - 12ga. B+ at Diode Board
F Brown/yellow - Starter Button
G Black - Starter Solenoid Lug
H Open
