Description
New Roll/ Old box. This was the 1st draft and there is no other copy of this roll. Tom Brier a prolific composer with over 240 ragtime compositions under his belt, sets the keyboard on fire with quick fingered performances of his own and the most complex compositions of others. Picking out tunes since the age of four, by fourteen he was the youngest performer at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee Pianorama. As Tom matured, his performances have run the gamut from beautiful ragtime waltzes to fiery tangos and novelty tunes. He has performed throughout the U.S., recorded six CDs and is noted for programing rare rags from his vast ragtime Sheet music collection. Type in Tom Brier on UTUBE or Olivewood music rolls on Facebook to hear this incredible pianist. Tom was in a bad auto accident 5 years ago, it is unlikely that he will play again, all we have are his recordings. This roll is about 9 minutes long and is collection of California themed tunes that Tom put together for the 2013 AMICA meeting in San Francisco celebrating that organization's 50th Anniversary. Starting with California here I come and followed by Golden Gate (open for me), The only pal I ever had came from Frisco town, On Treasure Island and ending with San Francisco. You will not be disappointed in this roll.
